Hier sind die versprochenen Zirkus-Videos für dich. In deiner alten Heimat gibt es eine ganze Menge davon. Schau sie dir in Ruhe an und sag mir Bescheid, wie du sie findest. Die Bären fahren Schlittschuh, tanzen Walzer, steigen auf komische Stühle, machen Handstand (wie geht das bloß?) , geben Küsschen, spielen Harfe...-

Here the promised circus videos for you. In your former home country one can find lots of it. Take your time watching them, please tell me how you liked them. The bears do a lot of tricks, ice-skating, waltz dancing, climbing onto weird chairs,some do even hand stands (no idea how they are doing that...???), some are kissing their trainers, and some play even the harp...
Jonglierenden Bären so wie du das machst in Nürnberg habe ich übrigens keine gesehen. Vielleicht finde ich ja noch welche.Weisst du eigentlich, dass es in Russland über 300 Zirkustiere gibt, in anderen Ländern gibt es mittlerweile starke Einschränkungen, manche Tiere dürfen nicht mehr in einem Zirkus gehalten werden, aber ein umfassendes Verbot hat sich noch nicht überall durchgesetzt. Viele sagen, ein Zirkus ohne Bären, Elefanten oder Affen sei nicht wirklich Zirkus. Die Leute, die im Zirkus arbeiten, sagen fast alle, dass es die Tiere doch gut haben und sie auch gerne auftreten...Aber ich bin mir da nicht wirklich sicher. -

By the way, do you know that in Russia there are about 300 wild animals performing in a circus, in other countries limitations have been introduced, some animals should not be kept anymore in a circus, but only few countries have introduced a complete ban. Lots of people say, a circus without bears, elephants and monkeys is not a real circus. And the people working in a circus claim that the animals in their care are kept well and that they like performing...I admit, as to me I have my doubts...

"MOSKAU – In Russland sind eislaufende Bären der Hit. Dagegen hat sich jetzt aber ein Bär aufgelehnt – mit tödlichen Folgen für den Zirkusdirektor und das Tier. So etwas sieht man nicht alle Tage, will es vielleicht gar nicht. In Russland werden Bären immer wieder zum Eislaufen trainiert. Besonders berühmt ist die Show des Nationalzirkus, der Eisbären sogar Hockey gegeneinander spielen lässt. Bei «Bears on Ice» gab es jetzt gemäss «Telegraph» jedoch einen tragischen Zwischenfall: Als Zirkusdirektor Dimitri Potapow (25) in einer Gastshow in Kirgisistan seine Bären ankündigte, stürzte sich ein fünfjähriger Bär auf ihn. Das Tier packte ihn am Nacken, schleifte den Mann übers Eis und riss ihm beinahe die Beine ab. Für Potapow kam jede Hilfe zu spät, er verstarb noch in der Manege. Der aufmuckende Bär wurde später erschossen."

"MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) -- A bear on ice skates attacked two people during rehearsals at a circus in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, killing one of them, Kyrgyz officials said Friday. In the incident, which happened Thursday, the 5-year-old animal killed the circus administrator, Dmitry Potapov, and mauled an animal trainer, who was attempting to rescue him. "The incident occurred during a rehearsal by the Russian state circus company troupe which was performing in Bishkek with the program, Bears on Ice," Ministry of Culture and Information director Kurmangazy Isanayev told reporters. It is unclear what caused the bear to attack Potapov, 25, nearly severing one of his legs while dragging him across the ice by his neck. Medical personnel were unable to save Potapov, who died at the scene. The 29-year-old circus trainer Yevgeny Popov, who attempted to rescue Potapov, was also severely injured, according to doctors. "The victim has sustained serious injuries - deep scalp lacerations, bruising of the brain, lacerations on his body. His condition is considered critical," Dr. Gulnara Tashibekova told reporters on Russian state television. After the incident, the circus was cordoned off by police and emergency service workers. Experts have been brought in to examine the bear, which was shot and died at the scene. Russia has a long-standing tradition of training bears to perform tricks such as riding motorcycles, ice skating, and playing hockey. Fatal attacks are unusual."
