Eisbären müssen unglaubliche Biertrinker sein, denn es gibt Biersorten mit ihnen drauf wie Sand am Meer, sogar in Ländern, wo man sie am wenigsten erwartet wie Venezuela zum Beispiel. Oft heißen sie auch gleich White Bear Bear oder Polar Bear Beer. -

Polar bears must be incredible beer drinkers as one can find lots of beer brands with their pictures on it even in countries where you wouldn't at least expect them like in Venezuela. Often they go just by their name, White Bear Bear or Polar Bear Beer.

Ausgetrunkene Dosen findet man selbst auf tropischen Inseln im Indischen Ozean, doch Agee oder ein anderes weißbefelltes, ggf. angetrunkenes Mitglied ihrer Verwandschaft konnte ich beim besten Willen noch nicht in La Réunion ausfindig machen...))-

Finished cans can be found even on tropical islands in the Indian Ocean, but I was not able to track down neither Agee nor another white-furred and possibly slightly drunk member of her kinship on Reunion Island ...))

Ist doch klar. Agee ist überhaupt die Expertin, wenn es um Bier geht.-

That's easy, Agee is a pro when when it comes to beer. 

Wie Sie sehen hat Agee nicht nur Werbung für Autos gemacht, sondern auch Bierwerbung. Die Dreharbeiten dazu sollen ihr besonders viel Spaß gemacht haben.-

Agee has done over the years not only car ads, she also did beer commercials. It is said that the shots connected to this genre were much to her liking allowing her to show her vast talent.

Aber es gibt auch andere. Frühere Werbefilme für die kanadischen Biersorten Molson, Mountain Dew, Coors und Stroh's mit Agee habe ich bislang im Netz nicht finden können, hier aber wenigstens  der alte Heineken Spot.-

But there are others. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the ads for the Canadian brands Molson, Coors, Mountain Dew and Stroh's with Agee, so enjoy for the time being the old Heineken clip.

Agee....The One and Only...

Das ist Agee. Sie macht gerade wieder Furore durch einen Artikel in der Sun bzw. der Daily Mail, wo es eine Reihe von bemerkenswerten Fotos mit ihrem Trainer und Ziehvater Mark Dumas gibt. Agee ist der absolute Star unter den Tieren, die für die Filmindustrie und Werbung arbeiten. Auch hier hat sie bereits den ein oder anderen Kurzauftritt gehabt, immer mit der Absicht, dass ein längerer Artikel folgen sollte, doch die Materialsuche erwies sich als so umfangreich, dass ich statt etwas zu posten auf 10 (!) verschiedenen Artikelentwürfen im letzten Jahr sitzengeblieben bin...-

This is Agee, the one and only...She has just caused once again another public stir by the remarkable photos published a few days ago in the Sun and the Daily Mail, where she can be admired together with her coach and mentor Mark Dumas. Agee is the absolute star when it comes to animals working for the film and advertising industry. Here in the K-files she has already had one or two brief appearances too, always posted with the intention of posting a longer article about her and her background, but the material which came up during the time proved to be so extensive that it left me with a variety of 10 (!) different article drafts last year...-


Die neuen Fotos, und auch die Kommentare, die ich gestern jeweils zu den Artikeln gelesen habe, spornen mich nun an, endlich aufzuräumen und Agee ausführlich vorzustellen.Und da dies nicht in einem Rutsch geht, wird es eine Serie, wohlwissend, dass dies auch ein heikles Unterfangen ist, denn eigentlich gehört ein Eisbär nicht vor die Kamera, es sei denn, dass es sich um Wildlife Aufnahmen handelt.-

The recent photos, especially in connection with some comments I have come to read yesterday, are motivating and inspiring me now to eventually clean up my archives and to present Agee more in detail. And as this is not possible in one go, it will be a series, well knowing that this is also a delicate endeavor, as polar bears do actually not belong in front of a camera, except when it concerns wildlife documentaries.-


Mir ist es dennoch wichtig, Agee Platz einzuräumen, da sie eine wirklich außergewöhnliche Bärin ist, die auf ihre Art und so wie sie von Mark Dumas und seiner Frau Diane geführt wird, zweifelsohne in all den Jahren paradoxerweise auch einen wichtigen Beitrag geleistet hat, was Lebensweise und Habitat ihrer Artgenossen in der Arktis angeht. Auch Agee hat Neugier, Interesse und Liebe für Eisbären geweckt...und den Willen sie zu schützen.-

To me it is important to credit Agee a little more space because she is a truly exceptional bear, in her own way and as led by Mark Dumas and his wife Diane, she has without any doubt in all these years, paradoxically, also made a major contribution concerning polar bears as endangered species, the conditions of life and habitat of polar bears in the Arctic. She has raised curiosity, interest and love for polar bears... and the wish to protect them.-

Hier der letzte Agee-Werbe-Videoclip mit Dank an Diane aus Kanada, die ihn gefunden hat zusammen mit einem interessanten Artikel, der die Diskussion zusammenfasst, die sich gleich nach seit der Erstausstrahlung entwickelt hat. Am 9. September 2010 vorgestellt und hochgeladen, verzeichnet YouTube bereits wenige Tage später schon mehr als 400000 Zugriffe (bis heute mehr als 1 320 000 Zugriffe), Nissan scheint irgendetwas richtig gemacht zu haben als sie für ihr neues Produkt, ein elektrisches Auto, auf Agee statt auf Lance Armstrong gesetzt haben, auch wenn dies nicht alle so sehen...-

Thanks again to Diane from Canada here the latest Agee commercial which was uploaded on 9 September 2010 on YouTube , and with more than 400 000 views within only a few days immediately a real hit (more than 1,320 000 times accessed by now). By the way, the product, an electrical car and the message delivered by Agee seem to have raised quite some discussions...

However, it seems that Nissan was quite right when they contracted Agee instead of Lance Armstrong...

Und hier die Krönung: Nissan, schlau wie sie sind haben gleich auch noch ein weiteres Video hochgeladen zusammen mit einer neuen Facebookseite, das die Dreharbeiten zum Clip zeigt...-

And on top of it: Nissan, smart as they are, uploaded even another video on a new Facebook page showing the shooting of the clip ... -

The hug raised quite some questions....

 

"I am, though, a little concerned about the bear hugging the man. Could it be that he is not actually showing gratitude for the man's excellent environmental choice? Could it be that the bear believes that, being a homeless animal, the nice man will take pity on him, put him up in his spare room, feed him cookies and let him drive his car?"

 On a more personal note, I am pretty sure that Agee knows well where she belongs too...
