Für den Franzosen Joe Bunni, der schwimmend mit einem Seil ans Boot gebunden war, eine lebensgefährliche und »unvergessliche Begegnung«. Zugleich sah er hier ein »Symbol des Überlebenskampfes« der großen weißen Bären.-
When the water is up to the neck: The polar bear approached the photographer, touched the camera body - and took off. For the French photographer, Joe Bunni, who was swimming with a rope tied to a boat, a life-threatening and "unforgettable encounter". At the same time he was seeing here a "symbol of the struggle for survival" of the big white bear.
