Kein Wunder, dass sich da auch mal ein Wolf vergriffen hat...-

Probably the wolf no.1 must have seen Knut earlier among the sheep
before he was fortunately stopped by wolf no.2 with the words
"Ooops, that's no SHEEP, it's a famous POLAR BEAR!"

Während ich zum "Monatsgedenktag" an Knut nach Bildern suchte, fand ich obigen Cartoon versteckt in einem alten Wolfsfolder von Simba, nun ja, und weil es dann so passend war, kommt dann gleich noch das... -

While I was looking for a pic to post on Knut's monthly commemorating day, I found this old cartoon somewhere hidden in one of Simba's old wolves' folders. So I thought OK, now it's time for...

Nicht zum Einsatz kam ein eher farbenfreudigeres Mdell das seinerzeit Simba zu einem Geburtstag ihres besten Freundes ausgesucht hatte, um damit den Beschwerden von Besuchern ein Ende zu machen, die Knut lieber mit anspruchsvollerem Spielzeug gesehen hätten...-

A new and more colour-friendly model selected by Simba and sent to her best friend in order to stop remarks of complaining visitors, who would have preferred seeing him with more sophisticated toys, never seemed to have seen the light of his enclosure...))

Und da wir gerade von Verbindungen sprechen...
Von Kindesbeinen an hatte Knut ja eine sehr besondere zu den Wölfen,
seinen Freunden aus dem Nachbargehege...-

From early childhood on, Knut had a special one to the wolves,
his friends in the neighbouring enclosure...

Unvergesslich der Tag als er mal kurz die Verabredung zu einem seiner monatlichen Geburtstagstreffen mit den Wölfen bestätigt-

Wir erinnern uns,
jeden Monat in der Nacht zwischen dem 5. und dem 6. eines Monats wurde gekegelt...

Bowling time in the night between each 5th and 6th of a month

Aber nicht genug mit 1a Haltungsnoten, es zeigte sich auch, dass Knut sehr schnell anderer Sprachen mächtig wurde, aber das führe nun zu weit...-

But not enough with 1a style points, it showed as well, that Knut very quickly managed to communicate in other languages but that would lead too far away now...

Wölfe...Wer hat Angst...?

Ja, wer hat hier Angst...? Mehr zu uns Wölfen hier-
Yeah, who is scared here...? More to us wolves here...
Wir gehören zur Familie, also betrifft uns das auch...-
We are family, aren't we? So, we are concerned too...Und da heute Sonntag ist, ein neues Statement von Knut bezüglich Aerial Hunting:
" Oh ja, Jagen macht Spaß, auch von oben aus der Luft...empfohlene Beute: Spezialspielzeug aus Australien, kommt einfach gut!"-
And as today it is Sunday again, a new statement of Knut concerning Aerial Hunting:
"Hunting is fun, even from above...recommended prey: enriched toys from Australia..., it's cool!"
Und nun, schaut mal rein in Simbas Picasaalbum-es geht um Wölfe!

Heute vor einem Jahr....one year ago....

So sah es vor einem Jahr aus, wenn Herr Knut Dörflein mal schnell eine Verabredung traf. -
One year ago, when Mr.Knut Dörflein intended to meet somebody it looked just like that....
"Hey, komma an den Zaun...!"- "Hey, could you just come to the fence?"
Aha, es gab also damals auch schon einen Zaun....So we learn, there was already a fence....

"Komm, gehn wa wieda kegeln?" - "Klar, machen wir doch jetzt jeden fünften im Monat..."
"Are we going to do some bowling tonight?" - "Sure, as usual, each fifth of a month...."

Aha, jeden fünften im Monat wird also gekegelt und ein Zaun ist dafür da, dass man sich verabredet.Für Herrn Knut Dörflein und die Wölfe scheinen Zäune demnach nicht unüberwindbar zu sein... Jedenfalls nicht an einem fünften in einem Monat. -
So we learn, it's bowling time and a fence is a location meant to arrange meetings. So a fence is not necessarily an obstacle, at least not for Mr.Knut Dörflein and the wolves on a fifth of a month.

Es wird also immer irgendwo ein Schlupfloch sein, das haben Zäune wohl so an sich...
So there will always be loop-holes , seems to be part of the nature of a fence....
Welcher Zaun auch immer heute nacht dran glauben muss, wir wünschen viel Spaß beim heutigen Kegeln! -
So Knut, whatever kind of fence you might have to bear down tonight, enjoy your bowling with the wolves!Und ganz zaununabhängig wollte Simba aber schon immer mal wissen, warum Papi Thomas eigentlich nicht gerne kegelt.... - and apart from that, Simba always wanted to know why Papi Thomas didn't like bowling....
