Eigentlich müsste ich jetzt die gesamte Geschichte von Eisbärin Pike (seit November letzten Jahres 31 Jahre alt) erzählen, denn um sie geht es in diesem Video, eine Handaufzucht aus San Francisco, aber das hebe ich mir für ein anderes Mal auf....-

It's about the early days of Pike, a little precious treasure for all who remember her story which... I won't tell now, this is for later, otherwise I wouldn't get the video posted. Just so far, Pike was hand-raised in San Francisco by Gail Hedberg, she turned 31 last year on 25 November...

Liebe Birgit,
Pike ist bestimmt eine Ausnahme als Handaufzucht, die so alt geworden ist. Schade, dass man nicht mehr über seine Entwicklung im Netz findet. Aber vor 30 Jahren war dasInternet ja auch noch nicht in den Zoo-Tierkinderstuben so allgegenwärtig wie heute.
