Kühler Morgen (Cool Morning) is not only a village in Thuringia, it's what a lot of people and animals would have liked to have yesterday...And ice-cream...

Some were lucky...

...as this monkey from Java, gnawing off some frozen fruit in the zoo of Saarbrücken. In order to offer some relief from the heat, ice-blocks are a big hit, carnivores get them even with a little blood added, at least that is what my source said...

Cool moments too in Zoo Berlin, at least for Knut...

With water consumption in Berlin's zoos on the rise, primarily for the irrigation of the vegetation which suffers even more than the animals, refreshment is needed...Although "it is a cliche that polar bears don't like the sun" , they "are baking" in it, while flamingos and desert antilopes really enjoy the heat.

And what looks just beautifully red, must have been the dessert...strawberries...!

Note: Yesterday temperature in Berlin was expected to be higher then 32,7 C° (which was last Sunday). Until now it hasn't been by far not the hottest summer in Germany.
