Ja, da hat Walker wohl geguckt vor einer Woche...als die Geburtstagsfestivitäten in den Highlands losgingen...-Yeah, Walker must have looked quite surprised last week...when the preparations for some birthday festivities started...
....denn dort waren sie genau um eine Woche zu früh mit der Geburtstagstorte für seinen 2.Geburtstag...-...as they have been exactly one week too early with the birthday cake for his second b-day...
Mercedes hatte wohl auch ihre Vorbehalte...-Mercedes must have had some second thoughts ...too
... denn sie hielt ihm erstmal einen alten Zeitungsartikel unter die Nase...-....as she came up with an old news article, rubbing it under his nose...
...der eindeutig Klein-Walker im März 2009 zeigte (der größere der beiden Kleinen) - und ein Datum.-...which showed clearly little Walker in March 2009 (the bigger one of the two little ones) - and a date.
Doch was macht das schon, schien sich Walker zu denken, 7.12. oder 14.12., jetzt ist die Torte da!-
But who really cares, Walker seemed to be thinking, December 7 or December 14, it is now that the cake is here!
Und so feierte Walker der Eisbär seinen zweiten Geburtstag mit Stil. Ein Eimerkuchen bestehend aus Forelle, Möhren, Äpfeln, Vögeln(!), Huhn und Schnee als Draufgabe wurden in Nullkommanichts verschlungen. Auch von einem fischgefüllten Schneemann war die Rede, den konnte ich aber nicht finden...-
And so "Walker the Polar Bear has celebrated his second birthday in style. With a bucket cake consisting of Trout, Carrots, Apples, Birds, Chicken and snow for a topping, Walker gorged on his birthday feast." There was also a fish-filled snowman mentioned in some articles, but I couldn't find pics of it...
By the way, Mercedes and at least one other guest joined in later ...
And as today is his day the outpost wishes Walker all the best for his 2nd birthday...and lots of fun with Mercedes!
